Shafaq News / Gold prices saw an uptick on Saturday in both Baghdad and Erbil, according to a market survey conducted by Shafaq News.
In Baghdad’s Al-Nahr Street wholesale market, the price of one mithqal (approximately five grams) of 21-carat gold from the Gulf, Turkey, and Europe was recorded at 681,000 Iraqi dinars (IQD) for selling, while the buying price stood at 677,000 IQD.
Meanwhile, locally produced 21-carat Iraqi gold was selling for 651,000 IQD per mithqal, with a buying price of 647,000 IQD.
Retail prices in Baghdad’s jewelry shops varied slightly, with 21-carat Gulf gold selling between 680,000 and 690,000 IQD, and 21-carat Iraqi gold priced between 650,000 and 660,000 IQD.
In Erbil, the price of 21-carat gold reached 675,000 IQD per mithqal, while 18-carat gold was priced at 578,000 IQD.
